Sensing Interdepence

A monographic exhibition of A4C-Artsforthecommons’   artworks and cultural production that revisits the historic collaboration between Ecuadorian artist Rosa Jijon and Italian activist and artistic researcher  Francesco Martone will be held in Amsterdam within the new spaces of De Appel 2025.

A4C areas of interest and research range from migration and decolonial critique  to rights of nature, from community-based actions to resistance to extractivism. Their body of work and “conversation” platforms aim to explore the connections and synergies between arts and activism.  Their last decade of activities will be displayed in an ambitious exhibition project. In contrast, the physical space of the exhibition venue will be divided into “islands” showcasing A4C various working themes and methodologies.
